Psychedelic Assisted Therapy

I offer psychedelic-assisted therapy as part of ongoing therapy or as a single experience that includes preparation, administration, and integration. Research suggests that psilocybin and ketamine temporarily increase neuroplasticity, the brain's capacity to form new connections. During that window, people often view familiar patterns from new angles, which helps them connect memories, emotions, and insights that once felt separate. This can lead to deep healing and lasting change. Therapy before and after the experience deepens and crystallizes those insights, helping people carry them from understanding into real-life changes.

Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy

I am a licensed facilitator in Colorado's natural medicine program [license title and number], which allows legal access to psilocybin services for adults 21 and older. Psilocybin is legal only in a few states, including Colorado.

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy

Ketamine is a legal prescription medication used off-label in mental health care. A licensed medical provider evaluates whether ketamine is appropriate for you, prescribes it, and oversees your medical safety. I provide the therapy, including preparation, support during sessions, and integration. Because ketamine can be taken at home, this work can often be done by telehealth in states where both the prescribing provider and I are authorized to practice.

How Psilocybin and Ketamine Differ

Psilocybin's effects typically last four to six hours. People often describe vivid imagery and strong emotion, and the experience can feel deeply meaningful. It is most often offered as a single session, sometimes two, with preparation beforehand and integration afterward.

Ketamine is shorter acting, with effects that usually last about an hour. People often describe it as more dissociative and reflective and less visual than psilocybin, with a sense of stepping back from familiar thoughts. It is generally offered as a series, often four to eight sessions, with integration between them.

Is It Right for You?

Psychedelic-assisted therapy isn't right for everyone. Certain conditions are contraindicated for both psilocybin and ketamine, including uncontrolled high blood pressure, some heart conditions, pregnancy, a personal history of psychosis or mania, active substance misuse, and some medications. Every process begins with careful screening and a conversation about your goals.
